ABOUT GLACIER NATIONAL PARK


Glacier National Park is in northwestern Montana vast, beautiful wilderness with gorgeous mountain views, blue lakes, thick forests, and over 26 glaciers. It's truly a magic place for an elopement!


GETTING TO GLACIER


  1. By Air

    The closest airport is Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) in Kalispell, Montana. It’s takes about 30-minutes from the airport to the parl's West entrance.

  2. By Car

    The easiest way to get to Glacier National Park is by car. There are a ton of major highways that you can take to access the park.

  3. By Train

    Amtrak has a scenic train route called the Empire Builder, which goes through the area and stops at West Glacier (about 10 minutes from the park’s West Entrance). The train is a fun option if you want to see some views on the way!

  4. By Bus

    • Greyhound: Greyhound buses run from major cities in Montana and the surrounding regions. The closest Greyhound stop is in Kalispell which is a 30-minute drive from the West Entrance of the park.

WHEN TO ELOPE IN GLACIER:

Below is a short list of pros and cons of elope in each season in the Adirondacks. When choosing a date it's important to consider each season and your personal preference.


  1. The best time of year to elope in Glacier National Park is usually late Summer to early Fall. During this time, you'll find several advantages:

    • This time of year the weather is usually mild with low chances of snow. The mountain passes, like Going-to-the-Sun Road are open!

    • Glacier’s popular wildflower blooms peak in the month of July and Fall foliage starts to turn in mid-September.
